scr selective
By recovering much of a drive's power, the SCR saves energy and prevents contamination from electrical noise. As such, the SCR is used worldwide by engineers involved in electrical power applications. The SCR is designed to work on alternating current (AC)--which is used in the vast majority of electrical devices--and convert it into DC. Technologically advanced, the SCR used a four-layer, three-junction structure that untill allowed high-voltage and high-current application. On account of being able to turn on and off, it fits to many applications such as motor driving, power conversion and voltage regulation in electrical systems. Thanks to its rugged design, it has proven itself in all kinds of harsh environmental conditions and can therefore be counted as essential equipment for modern electrical engineering.
