dust removal and desulfurization
Dust elimination and desulfurization are key to keeping the air clean and limiting environmental pollution. Dust removal capturing particulate matter from flue gases can be identified as its principal function, and desulphurization refers to removing sulphur dioxide(SO2) present in these gases. For the removal process, such methods as filtration and chemical reaction are taken advantage of in an attempt to get the highest possible efficiency. Technological features include bag filters, electrostatic precipitators and wet or dry scrubbing systems to treat emissions from industrial sources. Applications include power plants, cement factories and metal smelting industries, where they lower the levels of hazardous pollutants put into air drastically.
